Race for the Cure

The Twin Tiers Region Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® will deliver the 15th anniversary Race for the Cure® in downtown Elmira, with events for survivors, athletes, families and friends while raising money and awareness to provide breast health services and educational programs in the nine-county Twin Tiers region. 

 

Twin Tiers Race for the Cure Event details: 

For breast cancer survivors:

  • All survivors and a guest can enjoy breakfast provided by Corning Catering 7 a.m-9:30 a.m.
  • Live doves, in memory or celebration of loved ones will be released at 9:30 a.m.
  • The survivor ceremony will take place at 10:30 a.m. 


For our athletes, the runners and walkers for the day:

  • 5K RUN starts at 8:30 a.m.
  • 5K and 1 mile WALK starts at 9:45 a.m.

 

For children and families – fun not to miss:

  • New this year: Kids for the Cure Fun Run for children ages 2-9;
    • Registration starts 9:30a.m.
    • Heats begin at 11a.m.
  • A “Kids for the Cure” bounce house and activities for children ages 12 and under
  • DANCE for the cure as seven regional ZUMBA instructors host a ZUMBA Sampler 
    from 10 a.m. - noon. $5 admission will benefit Race team fundraising.
  • “BOOBIEcue” concessions from 10 a.m. - noon
